Your Luxury Guide & My Journey
Welcome to my Website — I started making blog posts in June 2025 with no prior knowledge. My initial plan was to cover budget stays in Slovenia, including hostels, camps, apartments, and budget hotels. Soon after, I discovered GetYourGuide and added some tours to the site.
After much learning and many mistakes, I shifted my focus to high-end and luxury hotels. Many people think “luxury” only refers to the most expensive hotels, out of reach for most travelers.
But luxury is broader, based on what a place offers. There are coastal towns, ski resorts, and thermal resorts without 5-star hotels, yet the high-end options there are still classified as luxury and not necessarily overly expensive. While you’ll find some budget stays in Slovenia here, the site mainly features higher-end hotels across Europe.
Nine months later – Over 1300 properties listed, I had covered Slovenia, the Croatian coastline, Italy, Austria, and completed two of my biggest projects: a selection of 179 best castle hotels in 24 European countries, and an audit of 668 most authentic, influential, amazing arhitectural conversions and best-preserved historic hotels in 30 countries and over 108 cities across Europe.
What is the Value Here?
When I started I never tought deeply about what value can I bring to the market and people? I just wanted to create some blog posts and see if I could earn some money from booking comissions. But after spending a lot of time on my projects I learned a few things.
People typically search hotels by budget, location, amenities and type. If I want to stay in the old town of the capital city, I first need to find hotels there, check the cost, see what they offer and decide the type of hotel I like. Blog content creators do this work so that people can access this information and save time. For example, from my Slovenia Luxury Stays post, you can explore over 200 hotels in all coastal towns, ski resorts, thermal resorts, Ljubljana and Bled, vineyard stays, castle and historic hotels, farm stays, eco stays, villas and more.
When I expanded to luxury castle hotels across Europe I realized there were no dedicated filters for this on major booking sites. Existing lists are incomplete, mix budget and luxury, cover only parts of Europe or diluting the list with other types of hotels.
I discovered I could bring something new — From a single page you can access 179 Best Luxury Castle Hotels accross 24 countries in Europe, something not previously available from a single source.
For historic hotels in Europe theme the value goes even further.
THE PROBLEM: Most hotel websites focus on photos, amenities, and pricing, but provide very little historic data about the buildings themselves. Major booking platforms also do not offer filters for historic hotels, so travelers must search city by city and sort through a mixture of historic and modern properties. Even the best resources cover only small parts of this theme, which makes finding the most authentic historic hotels across Europe time consuming and fragmented.
My work combines verified authenticity, preservation, and carefully selected properties into a single structured collection.
THE SOLUTION: 668 best historic hotels in 30 European countries
Why doesn’t this already exist?
Collecting and verifying this data is humanly impossible without AI and over a thousand hours of effort. I have invested that time, not being paid, hoping one day this work will be properly valued.
Another unexpected value:
I was never particularly interested in history, but researching these properties revealed how much of it is tied to them. Many were once aristocratic residences, political meeting places, or important institutions where rulers, influential figures, and historic events shaped the course of nations. Even just reading this information, I believe, brings value to others as well.
